Cape Fear Blues Festival
July 25-27, 2008
Wilmington NC

Where Chicago and Memphis collide!  Southeast North Carolina's largest and most
diverse all-blues event underwent some notable changes for 2007, but that didn't keep
devoted blues listeners from having a great time.  The
12th Annual Cape Fear Blues
Festival
hosted a wide variety of activities that made this weekend one to remember.
The Blues Cruise was sold out (500+ blues listeners!) and our Workshop featured Elliot
New, who brought The Untouchables along for an impromptu gig at Finkelstein Music.
The Festival Concert at Hugh MacRae Park lived-up to its promise of a "rain or shine"
event with inspiring shows from Eric Culberson, Maurice John Vaughn, and all of our
local artists.  The All-Day Blues Jam at The Rusty Nail was a fun and unique setting for
an afternoon of spontaneous blues music from the area's finest musicians.  Whether a
devout blues fan or a casual listener, this year's Cape Fear Blues Festival was a truly
unique experience that everyone enjoyed.
